Biography

French singer Emmanuel Moire comes from Le Mans, born on June 16th 1979. Between 2004-2007 he played the main role of king Louis XIV in the musical Le Roi Soleil. Since being a child he's been passionate about music. Emmanuel, a shy and reserved boy, was growing up with his twin brother Nicolas, having classical singing lessons. While having them, he passed his 'baccalaureat' exams with a good grade. At the age of 21 he was chosen to participate in 16 author-composer-singer workshops in Astaffort, led by Francis Cabrel. Emmanuel is an eclectic artist: he sings and plays the piano. He's got more than 100 performances on his account.

In 2004 he was given the role of Louis XIV in the musical 'Le Roi Soleil', carried out by Dove Attia and Albert Cohen. The choreography was arranged by Kamel Ouali. Few of the singles from the musical reached the tops of sales lists in France. Since the first Le Roi Soleil's group's show case in April 2005 the number of radio recordings, TV performances and concerts had increased quickly. From September 22nd 2005 Emmanuel performed every evening on the stage of Palais des Sports in Paris. At the end of January 2006 the group started its tour throughout France. Meanwhile, Emmanuel started to work on his debut album. In 2006 he was nominated for NRJ Music Awards prize.

At the beginning of 2006 he took part in the recording of 'L'or de nos vies' song for Princess Stephanie's Fight Aids Monaco foundation.

After the first year of triumph, on September 22nd 2006 Emmanuel and the whole group of Le Roi Soleil returned to Palais des Sports to restart their tour. The new thing was that the singers and dancers began to be accompanied by the musicians, live.

On November 13th 2006 Emmanuel's first solo album 'La ou je pars' was released. A few weeks before the release date the album had been promoted by the single 'Le sourire'. In June 2007 he played 4 solo concerts including his own songs. The tour of Emmanuel and Le Roi Soleil finally ended up with 5 shows in Bercy, in July 2007.

In September 2007, Emmanuel performed in Poland at Sopot Festival. He took part in 'Słowik publicznosci' ('Audience's nightingale' - name of the prize) competition. His song 'Ca me fait du bien' charmed Polish audience so he won the first place among international artists.

Emmanuel's' La ou je pars' tour (promoted by the single with the same title) will pass through France starting at the end of October up to December 2007. Then, it will continue in 2008 and pass through Poland, as well. We hope so! :)
